Activity Level: 1-3

Every Backroads trip is designed to appeal to a wide variety of interests and fitness levels. Several routes and a range of levels are offered each day so you can choose how much or how little activity you want to do. Learn more about how we determine activity levels.

Route notes

The hiking trails on this trip are well-marked but uneven with lots of rocks and roots, which requires you to continually readjust your body to the terrain and go more slowly than you would if it were flat. Uneven terrain demands more attention, in order to avoid slips, falls or rolling of your ankles. In addition, most of our hikes include short steep climbs and descents. Finally, if you're traveling with us in September, expect the hikes to feel more challenging due to the heat.
