Canadian Rockies Family Multi-Adventure Tour - Teens & Kids

Banff & Yoho's Epic National Parks

Check out those giant deer... Wait—they're elk? What makes the lake so blue? Doesn't even look like real water. There's a bald eagle in that tree. Just saw a marmot, too. I think I see that mountain we hiked on yesterday. We're going rafting tomorrow, and then rock climbing, right? That waterfall is the tallest thing I've ever seen! This is the best vacation ever.

Note: Most activities on this trip take place at elevations of 3,000–6,000 feet, which can make the routes feel more challenging than the mileage may suggest. The hiking terrain on this trip includes rugged mountain trails and well-maintained paths, with some rocky sections and steep descents. The biking routes on this trip are on narrow roads with narrow shoulders with some traffic, but speed limits are reduced in the national parks.

Note that if your child doesn't meet age or other requirements to participate in an activity, one parent must opt out of that activity to remain with the child.

What's Included

Available Bike Options

The key to a stellar day's ride is a bike that's perfectly in tune with your cycling style… Backroads has you covered with the best bike fleet in the world! Read on for your available bike options for this trip.

Straight talk

We want to make sure you're on the right trip and that you have the best experience possible. Every Backroads trip is unique and this one is no exception.

Accommodations

This trip includes the historic Emerald Lake Lodge, where guest rooms are clean and comfortable, but simpler than the typical Backroads standard. We've chosen this property because of its proximity to our favorite routes and the fantastic setting. Please note that the guest rooms are not equipped with televisions or air-conditioning and do not provide cell or WiFi service.

Air-Conditioning

Post Hotel & Spa is a Premiere Hotel. While it offers outstanding service and amenities, please note that it is not equipped with air-conditioning and guest rooms can occasionally become warm during peak temperatures.
