A visit to the heart of Tuscany will lead to moments of “Am I really here right now?” wonderment. Perhaps when you’re coasting along a cypress-lined road in the sunshine and a local schoolchild on a Vespa passes you with a smile. Or maybe as you’re sipping wine on your hotel balcony watching the golden light of sunset drift over a panorama of vineyards and scattered centuries-old farmhouses. Yes, you’re truly here, and this is the life.
