Itinerary
Days 1-2
Gather in Lisbon, Portugal’s vibrant capital since 1255, and head east to the Alentejo countryside, where traditions are cherished and the pace of life leisurely • E-bike in the shade of cork and olive trees and past vineyards, stopping in for a tasting at an especially notable one • Explore the medieval hilltop fortress of Monsaraz with an archaeologist and admire incredible views of the plains • Pedal around traditional towns and learn about the resilient cork industry and its enduring history • Savor some of the region’s most flavorful dishes and drinks, like migas and slow-roasted pork and sangria, at restaurants proud of the area’s unique agricultural heritage.
Nights 1-2
A luxuriously restored 200-year-old agrarian estate that offers stylish rooms, rustic charm, lush gardens and farm-to-table dining. (pool, spa)
Day 3
Peruse Portugal’s pottery capital and then pedal the rolling hills, past bucolic villages and golden fields, to a picnic at a family-run herdade (farmhouse) • Wander the narrow cobblestone streets of central Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Continent’s oldest cities • Pair up with our local guide for a walking architecture tour to better understand Roman, medieval and Moorish influences on design over the centuries.
Night 3
A luxuriously renovated 15th-century convent with spacious rooms and elegant details, located just outside of Évora's World Heritage-designated town center. (pool, spa)
Days 4-6
The wild Algarve coast is calling! Ride along rural roads to honey-colored limestone cliffs, with the soft fragrance of orange blossoms lingering in the air • Take time to enjoy a little R & R at our home base for the next few nights, a Leading Hotel of the World with a stunning secluded shorefront • Delight in the pristine beauty of Costa Vicentina National Park and the “End of the World” during an e-bike outing near Sagres • Pause for a meal of fresh seafood in the fishing village of Salema • Walk the region’s famous beaches, heralded in recent years as some of the most beautiful on earth.

Perched on a cliff top overlooking the Atlantic, there's no shortage of breathtaking views at this lavish hotel, from a panoramic private beach to a colorful dispay of lush gardens. (pool, spa)
