A Washington D.C. native currently living in central Italy, Jane Mangione began her career with Backroads in 2013 as a Trip Leader, leading trips all over the world, including Italy, Austria, France, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, India and Bhutan. Since 2024, she’s been based in Backroads’ Tuscany office as Field Lead of Operations for Italy, Greece and Cyprus. Jane holds a B.A. in Art History and an M.S. in Agroecology. She’s an avid reader, writer and lover of the outdoors and active pursuits, including cycling, hiking, yoga and Latin dance.
