We just finished our family trip to Switzerland with Backroads and had a fantastic time, can't wait to plan our next one. Everything from the travel planning, accommodations, food, activities and guides was first class! The guides made the trip so fun for my 8 year old daughter, she loved the whole experience!

I can't imagine a better way to have introduced my five-year old son to Europe. Our leaders were phenomenal, and took amazing care of all of us while somehow seeming to have fun doing it. We all got to do exactly what we wanted to do. It was the perfect balance of activity, culture, and food.

Awesome trip!!

Submitted July 2017

We had a wonderful time on our trip. It was our first trip with Backroads and it exceeded our expectations. The leaders were amazing and the families wonderful. It was a great group were to spend the week with. We loved how organized each day was, with the flexibility to participate as we wanted, but without having to deal with any of the logistical planning ourselves. We appreciated how patient and kind everyone was with our kids, and especially enjoyed the times when the leaders took our kids so we could have dinner on our own, or continue biking with the rest of the group. We can't say enough about what a great experience we had.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Thank you again for an incredibly happy family vacation! From beginning to end we all felt the we were in the best, most trustworthy hands possible with Travis and Anya. We appreciated the critical behind-the-scenes planning and advance work that made our trip such a smashing success! Our kids loved every minute of the hiking and biking and also enjoyed spending time with the other BR guests. I loved being worlds-away from the stresses of my work-place and felt completely rejuvenated when I returned thanks to your team's steadfast attention to every possible detail. I will treasure my memories from yet another fabulous BR family multi-sport vacation for years to come! A heartfelt thank you for enriching our lives!

This trip was amazing. Of course the location was beautiful and we had mostly great weather, but the Backroads team made this trip beyond wonderful. We tell friends all the time about the this amazing week - the bike rides and hikes were fantastic, the hotels were gorgeous, and we still dream about the food and the chocolate! We also really connected with the other families on the trip. Our children are still in touch on social media three years out. Most importantly, our guides were fantastic.
