Days 1-2
Start your journey in Barcelona, Catalonia’s vibrant capital • Head into the hills, riding past alpine villages, herds of goats and farmers tending their crops • Adults can sample cava, the local sparkling wine, at a welcome reception • Hike quiet trails winding through pine-forested Pyrenean foothills with dramatic vistas • Walk serene mountain paths through landscapes that legend holds were once inhabited by fairies • Enjoy lunch by a crystal-clear lake before exploring the beautiful Passet Reservoir.

Day 3
Ready to bike over one of the tallest mountain passes in the eastern Pyrenees? Tackle the amazing Creueta climb fully supported and at your own pace • Feel the wind on your face as you coast downhill with stunning views over the Alt Ripollès Valley • Kids spend an action-packed morning zip-lining through the forest canopy • On a guided tour, stroll through the mind-bending Dalí Theatre-Museum • Adults gather for a wine tasting before a delicious family meal at our elegant hotel.
Night 3
Located in the heart of one of Catalonia’s prime wine-producing regions and part of the famed Peralada wine estate, the hotel offers a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary elegance. (pool, spa)
Days 4-6
Navigate the hidden coves of the Costa Brava coast by kayak • Snorkel in crystal-clear Mediterranean waters • Savor lunch in a waterfront village • Hike the rugged coastal trails of the Camí de Ronda • Kids create a pottery masterpiece in La Bisbal • Bike through the sunflower fields of the Baix Empordà while youngsters enjoy fun-filled beach games and an inflatable floating obstacle course on the water • Celebrate the last day of your family adventure with a leisurely walk or sunrise yoga class.

Hiking routes range from rocky coastal paths to dirt and paved roads, with some forested mountain trails in the Pyrenees.
Biking routes are mostly on quiet well-paved country roads and a few hard-packed gravel bike paths near the coast. Terrain ranges from level to rolling, with some steeper ascents in the Pyrenees and to hilltop towns.
Kid-friendly routes are shorter with minimal elevation gain, and alternate kids’ activities are available on days with longer rides. Some sections are on roads with traffic, so kids should be comfortable riding with cars.
Our time in the Pyrenees is at moderately high altitude, which can make biking and hiking feel more challenging. Llívia, where we stay the first two nights, is at 4,000 feet, and our highest pass reaches 6,300 feet.
