Itinerary
Day 1
Start your adventure with a bike ride through forested backcountry in the Réserve Nationale de Chambord, a national game and nature reserve that surrounds the Château de Chambord • Discover the impressive Château de Chambord, one of the Loire Valley's most striking castles • Cycle along the region’s quiet rural roads passing vineyard-covered hills and charming local villages • Relax at a lovely French manor-turned-hotel set on 34 acres of magnificent woodland.

Days 2-3
Bike along rolling hills to Château de Chaumont, set among verdant lawns on a hilltop overlooking the Loire River • Explore the castle’s ornate interiors and creative garden displays • Follow the Loire River to the lively town of Amboise, once home to François I and a former seat of the French royal court • Choose an outdoor table and sip a café while taking in views of the Château d’Amboise • Leonardo da Vinci’s nearby manor, Clos Lucé, is well worth an after-lunch visit, showcasing models and drawings of his brilliant inventions • Ride through a splendid forest and along the River Cher to Château Chenonceau for a guided tour of its richly appointed salons and grand galleries.
