Days 1-2
Say hello to Cyprus as you spin along a brilliant blue horizon where turquoise waves lap at the rocky shore • Fuel up with a seaside lunch • Climb inland through hill towns that intersperse golden stone with whitewashed façades • Check out the World Heritage ruins of Choirokoitia, a preserved Neolithic settlement • Toast to the beginning of your journey with a Cypriot vintage • Fuel up on our hotel’s colorful breakfast spreads • Cycle rural roads where there are more bicycles than cars • Stop for a picnic in shady Machairas Forest • Marvel at the brick arches and colorful frescoes of hilltop Machaira Monastery.

Nights 1-2
Country hospitality with style awaits at this boutique hotel in a reinvented village mansion—the brainchild of hotelier Alexander Eng, himself a fixture of Cyprus’s cycling scene. A Small Luxury Hotels of the World member. (pool, spa)

Day 3
Head into Troodos National Forest Park, the Mecca of Cypriot road riding • Tackle a spectacular route along the flanks of Mt. Olympus, the island’s highest peak • Settle into our charming digs surrounded by forested slopes • Stroll the surroundings, including the World Heritage church, with a local who tells us the story of this once near-abandoned village’s restoration and revival.

Night 3
A rustic-chic abode built into a series of historic buildings, its opening was part of what spurred tiny Kalopanayiotis’s revival. This unique village-wide footprint allows the Casale to offer resort-like amenities, with its maze of terraces and green spaces, in the heart of an utterly authentic setting. A Small Luxury Hotels of the World member. (pool, spa)

Days 4-6
Wander the halls of lovingly preserved Kykkos Monastery • Our ride through the fragrant trees of Cedar Valley is like forest bathing on two wheels • Taste thousands of years of winemaking history at a family-run winery along our route • Set your sights on the water: a final descent with gorgeous sea views welcomes you to our seaside hideaway for the final nights of your trip • Spin through vineyards and villages on one of Cyprus’s favorite rides • Our grand finale is Akama National Forest Park, which protects the wild coast of North Cyprus with its aquamarine coves shaded by lush vines and pines • On our final morning, grab your passport for our walking tour of Cyprus’s partitioned capital, Nicosia • Learn about the history of Greek and Turkish relations on the island as you check out the Venetian city walls, the Selimiye Mosque and the Buyuk Han caravanserai.
