Walk peaceful fields and quiet lanes and stop for a delicious lunch at a celebrated Cotswolds pub • Browse the shops in the charming market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, perhaps finding some hand-thrown pottery or antique treasures to take home • Walk through the ancient hamlets of Upper and Lower Slaughter, considered by many to be the most beautiful in England • Stroll alongside a gentle stream and pass honey-colored cottages • Pause for elegant afternoon tea.
Nights 1-2
In the charming village of Stowe-on-the-Wold, experience a welcoming retreat with a lively atmosphere and cozy contemporary rooms, just steps from inviting shops and pubs.
Day 3
Visit the impressive Chedworth Roman Villa, one of the grandest Roman sites in Britain and home to beautifully preserved mosaics and bathhouse ruins • Hike through rolling countryside once traversed by Roman legions • Walk village to village, ending at the beautifully restored Frogmill Hotel, a former 16th-century coaching inn.
