Dolce Tempo Journey in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor & Camden
Here, in the far corner of America, a sense of pureness lingers. You can sense it in the crisp salty air and taste it in the mouthwatering fresh seafood brought straight from the fishing boats. You’ll feel it watching waves crash over the rugged coastline or pedaling along a rural country road. From Camden's undeniable charm to the picturesque seascapes of Acadia, this is quintessential New England.
Highlights
- Explore quiet coastal towns as you pedal your e-bike from one to the next, and discover local footpaths to sweeping vistas of bays and scenic seashores
- Experience New England at a slow and deliberate pace—browse a neighborhood bookshop, relax at a corner café, strike up a conversation with a local—it's Dolce Tempo travel at its finest
- Discover famous Bar Harbor, set on Mount Desert Island with its many shops and picture-perfect seascapes, and savor local seafood and fresh farm-to-table meals
- Rest your head at a charming Relais & Châteaux hotel with an award-winning restaurant and take in the views from a waterfront retreat overlooking Frenchman Bay

WOW! Backroads just WOW!
This trip was 11 out of 10 for me. From the communication, planning, food, accomodations, bikes, app, the people we met and most of all our amazingly talented and impressive leaders. I was literally sad when it ended. Can't wait to plan our next trip with Backroads. Do not think twice about booking this trip.
Beautiful Maine & the best guides ever!
We chose a Dolce Tempo not knowing what to expect but Maine was a perfect place for a more leisurely trip. Our guides were the perfect combination of help, support & fun. The activities took us to places that we would not have found on our own. Restaurants & hotels were spot on. I had not trained at all for this hike & ride but found that I didn't need it. It's a very laid back trip but in the best way!

Magical Trip Not to Be Missed
I took this trip with my daughter and we were so excited to experience Maine and especially Acadia National Park through Backroads. I would do it again in a second! The Dolce Tempo approach was perfect for being active but being able to take it all in at the same time. The team leaders were engaging, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and just plain fun to be around. The ability to do things with the group and on your own provides just the right balance. We met the loveliest people on this trip and had amazing food and hotels to rest in after a fulfilling day of being outdoors and exploring the beautiful countryside and park. Thanks for an unforgettable experience, Backroads! We will be back < 3

Great trip with terrific Backroads leaders and friendly trav
I would rate the drip five stars but I'm just never quite that generous. The trip leaders were professional, efficient and fun. I came to the trip by myself but thoroughly enjoyed the company of the other travelers. And on a day when I decided to do my own thing rather than stay with the group the trip leaders gave me a list of suggestions which was great.
