Day 1
Start your journey in seaside Split, home to Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace, and bike through the Dinara Mountains' magnificent karst landscape • Ahoy matey! Wind your way to Omiš, a coastal town with a colorful pirate history • Kids embark on an exciting rafting adventure on the Cetina River • Splash around in the Adriatic Sea • Savor Croatian cuisine in the waterside village of Duće.
Night 1

Days 2-3
Swim at untouched Adriatic beaches • Lace up your hiking boots to gain a new perspective on the intricate cliffs of the Dinaric Alps • Sail to Hvar for a scenic bike ride on the lavender-scented island • Check out Venetian Renaissance architecture in Hvar Town • Linger over a lunch of fresh-caught seafood and regional delicacies • Pause for a seaside gelato • Grown-ups are treated to a local dinner while kids enjoy their own meal at a pizzeria.

This trip has an activity level range of 2-4
Hiking routes include coastal paths, gravel roads and mountainside dirt trails with rocky uneven sections. Terrain is rolling to hilly with some steep climbs and descents. Limited shade on many sections and the Mediterranean sun can make routes feel more challenging than the mileage suggests.
Biking routes follow paved roads past coastline, forest, vineyards and villages. Terrain is hilly, with plenty of short steep climbs and longer ascents on the long options. Most routes are on quiet roads, but there are busier sections when passing through larger towns.
Kid-friendly routes are shorter but hilly, and alternate kids’ activities are available on days with longer rides. Some sections are on roads with traffic and minimal shoulders, so kids should be comfortable riding with cars.
