Route notes

While Backroads strives to find routes that are quiet and off the beaten track, in the Carolinas we sometimes have to bike on busier sections of road to reach the best riding. Most of these roads have a wide shoulder or plenty of pullouts to accommodate cyclists and car traffic. Of course, on certain routes you’re welcome to jump into the shuttle to avoid the busier stretches. Just make sure you communicate with your leaders and find the ride that's best for you.
