Itinerary
Days 1-2
Pedal through the Val Rendena to the village of Stenico • Ride through forests, alongside rivers and beneath the spires of the Brenta Dolomites • Trace a path through the dramatic Limarò Gorge, following the Sarca River to Lake Cavedine • Tackle the climb to Ballino Pass for views of Lake Tenno’s turquoise waters • Your home base is a mountain hotel set within the protected landscapes of Adamello Brenta Nature Park.
Nights 1-2
This quiet, family-run mountain hotel in Adamello Brenta Nature Park blends big views of the Brenta Dolomites with deep roots in Italian alpine culture. The garden terrace and pool overlooking the valley and the warm, personal hospitality are just part of what makes it feel more like a mountain retreat than a traditional hotel. (pool)
Days 3-4
Mix steady climbs that deliver sweeping vistas of lakes and mountains with long descents into valleys of orchards and vineyards • Follow a route along a historic railway line for a mix of scenery and history • Gear up to meet an icon: Lavazè Pass and its views of Dolomite rock faces and peaks in the Latemar and Rosengarten Groups • Picnic in the open meadows of Deutschnofen • Relax in the hot tub or sauna at our elegant hotel • Slow down with a stroll through the culturally rich town of Cavalese.
Nights 3-4
This family-run hotel occupies an elegant villa in the heart of Val di Fiemme, with large windows framing mountain views over Cavalese. Recently renovated alpine-modern rooms, a refined wellness area with a pool, hot tubs, Finnish and bio saunas and hamman plus a restaurant showcasing regional, seasonal cuisine make this a standout stay. Days 5-6
Ascend through mountain villages and serene forests up the Fassa Valley on a ride to the resort town of Canazei • Take on the epic climb to Fedaia Pass • Pause to soak up views of glacial blue Lake Fedaia and mighty Marmolada, the “Queen of the Dolomites” • A big descent brings you into neighboring Belluno province and our modern Alpine retreat in the resort town of Alleghe.
Night 5
At this intimate lakeside retreat in the heart of tiny (but bustling) Alleghe, contemporary alpine design meets warm family-run hospitality. The lodge's sleek, minimalist rooms and common spaces are designed for both comfort and efficiency. Descents are non-technical but can be steep and winding at times—typical of riding in a true alpine setting. Shuttles are available throughout the day, offering flexible ride options for every level on this Level 3–5 trip.
The route explores a range of landscapes, from lower-lying, warmer river valleys to high mountain terrain. Elevations typically range between 2,500 and 5,000 feet, with passes topping out around 6,700 feet on Day 5. Weather can shift quickly at these elevations, so be prepared for variable conditions and bring layers for cold and rain.

Most of the Alpine terrain we encounter on this trip is hilly with very few flat sections. Surfaces range from paved paths in the valley to snow-covered slopes and hills. Routes may vary based on conditions and time of year. Trails range from firmly packed to fresh, untracked snow to ice or muddier sections of grass and dirt.
The hotels on this trip are not equipped with air-conditioning. Despite the region's generally temperate climate and cool nights, guestrooms can become warm during peak temperatures.
