Description

Begin your adventure in Vilnius, Lithuania’s artsy and quirky capital • Cycle through the rippling wheat fields of the Lithuanian countryside • Spin past a myriad of tiny lakes • Stop for lunch at a traditional mansion, where a picnic is followed by šakotis, a traditional cake cooked on a spit • Enter the ancient forest of the Anykščiai, thought to have once sheltered the legendary fortress of Lithuania’s first king • Enjoy a performance of sutartinės, Lithuanian folk songs sung by women • Relax at the glass-domed pool of our spa-centric hotel in the woods.

Cross into Latvia on two wheels—what was once a Soviet checkpoint is now a customs-free European state line • Enjoy your first Latvian lunch at a baroque manor • Settle into our hotel in metropolitan Riga, and celebrate your arrival with a glass of wine while a local historian recounts some of Latvia’s most fascinating stories • Bike past pine-covered dunes to Jūrmala, a seaside getaway for Rigans since the 19th century • Linger over lunch within earshot of the waves • Do some urban exploration on a guided walking tour of the capital’s Old Town and art nouveau districts.
