Itinerary

Days 1-2
Get to know Canada’s oldest village, Tadoussac, the preeminent spot for whale-watching on the eastern seaboard • Meander through boreal forests, where scenic paths lead to stunning viewpoints of Lac à Jean and the winding Black River • Joined by an expert guide, hop into tandem kayaks on the mighty St. Lawrence River, discovering its incredible sea life • Ride to the remarkable Tadoussac sand dunes.





Nights 1-2
A simple historic hotel selected for its scenic location above the Saguenay Fjord and close to fabulous whale-watching and hiking trails. (pool, spa)

Days 3-4
Hike through a lush forest of sugar maple, elm, pine and birch along the winding Colline de L’Anse à la Barque Trail • Get ready for an exciting whale-watching excursion aboard a private Zodiac with a naturalist • Arrive at Isle-aux-Coudres by ferry and take a captivating spin past stone cottages, historic churches and picturesque farmland • Visit an early 19th-century windmill and watermill still churning out wheat and buckwheat flour at Les Moulins.
