Every Backroads trip is designed to appeal to a wide variety of interests and fitness levels. Several routes and a range of levels are offered each day so you can choose how much or how little activity you want to do. Learn more about how we determine activity levels.
The terrain on this trip varies from rolling to hilly with a few steep ascents and descents. Our hiking trails are often on uneven terrain and occasionally have steep, narrow or exposed sections. Keep in mind that the altitude and rugged terrain can make the routes feel more challenging than the mileage may suggest.
For the best riding in the Dolomites, we've chosen a combination of small quiet roads and some unpaved bike paths with stretches of limited van support. Our routes follow rolling to hilly terrain with a few steep ascents and descents. Please note that on this trip we use Backroads titanium touring bikes fitted with wide and knobby tires which are just right for the non-technical paved and dirt road riding we encounter.
The key to a stellar day's ride is a bike that's perfectly in tune with your cycling style… Backroads has you covered with the best bike fleet in the world! Read on for your available bike options for this trip.
We want to make sure you're on the right trip and that you have the best experience possible. Every Backroads trip is unique and this one is no exception.
The accommodations on this trip are Premiere Hotels. While they offer outstanding service and amenities, please note that they are not equipped with air-conditioning. Despite the region's generally temperate climate and cool nights, guestrooms can occasionally become warm during peak temperatures.
