Easygoing Multi-Adventure Tour San Juan Islands
Dolce Tempo Journey on San Juan, Orcas & Vancouver Islands
To explore these gorgeous corners of the Pacific Northwest and Canada's British Columbia is to get up close and personal with a misty island-dotted landscape—a splash of Alaska mixed with a laid-back island vibe. Picture forested isles, quaint harbors and marine wildlife. Glimpse otters and bald eagles from the seat of an e-bike. Mix in rocky coasts, cozy hotels and the horns of ferry boats and you have a trip as rich in experiences as it is in crisp salty air.

We want to make sure you're on the right trip and that you have the best experience possible. Every Backroads trip is unique and this one is no exception.
To bring you to our favorite parts of the San Juan Islands and the Olympic Peninsula, we make liberal use of ferry transfers on this trip. You'll be on board a ferry for many of the days on this trip as we island-hop like the locals do. Consider this an opportunity to view some spectacular marine scenery (and occasional wildlife!) while resting your legs in preparation for your next activity.
While biking and hiking and kayaking trips are at the core of popular adventure travel offerings, they are not for everyone. So Backroads, a company that has long been the leader in active travel trips, has come up with an array of softer adventures for 2021.
