While Backroads strives to find roadways that are quiet and off the beaten track, some routes on this trip follow two-lane roads with a shoulder and traffic. Of course, you're always welcome to jump in the shuttle to avoid the busier sections of the route. Hiking trails are often uneven, with roots, mud, rocks and other obstacles. Please note that unpredictable mountain weather can make hiking and biking conditions more challenging.
