Day 1
Kick off your family journey with a leisurely ride from Edam to Santpoort, located on the edge of a scenic coastal forest • Savor traditional pannenkoeken (pancakes) by day and fine dining by night • Bike past emerald-green fields, horse farms and windmills • Rest and relax at our splendid hotel on the edge of Zuid-Kennemerland National Park.
Night 1
A deluxe and historic country estate situated on the outskirts of Zuid-Kennemerland National Park with access to many beautiful nature trails.
Days 2-3
A landscape of dunes and seaside lanes lead the way to The Hague • Cycle through polders and countryside to Gouda, home to the beloved cheese of the same name • Admire the World Heritage site of Kinderdijk, known for its 19 windmills once used to drain the surrounding floodplain • Indulge in a post-ride slice of appeltaart topped with Chantilly cream • Join the locals as you cruise through Holland, passing dikes and quaint villages—biking is a way of life here!

Built in 1858 to host aristocrats and heads of state and still displaying its original Gothic Romantic characteristics, this opulent former palace is located among the cafés, restaurants and shops of the historic city center. (pool, spa)

Bike over the border into Belgium • It’s a scenic ride to Ghent, one of the country's oldest and most fascinating cities • Discover medieval architecture and classical design in Bruges as you explore narrow cobblestone streets, lofty spires and meandering canals • Find post-ride repose at our decadent hotel, housed in Ghent's Neo-Gothic one-time post office • Take a final spin through peaceful Belgian neighborhoods.

Many of the paths we utilize on this trip are the equivalent of scenic byways, linking quaint villages and big cities alike. Navigating these intricate bike routes may require more attention than usual—expect some stops to ensure you're on the right track!—as well as increased attention to cycling etiquette, laws and traffic as you share the "road" with the many locals going about their business by bike.
