While it’s not always logistically possible to join a trip late or leave early, it can be accommodated on most itineraries. If you know in advance that you’ll have alternate arrival or departure plans, please contact the Backroads office at 800-462-2848. Our Trip Consultants can provide trip-specific recommendations and share your plans with your Trip Leaders. You’ll also receive your Trip Leaders’ contact information three days before departure, so if you experience unexpected delays, you can reach out to them directly to coordinate where to meet the group. Depending on the itinerary and timing, it may not be possible to join the first day’s activities, but in most cases, you’ll be able to connect with the group at the first night’s hotel.
On Active Cruises, you may join or leave the trip at most scheduled ports and are responsible for the cost of land transportation. Your Trip Leaders and Cruise Director can help make arrangements.
Backroads is not responsible for additional travel costs, and no refunds are available for missed portions of a trip.
