Death Valley is a place I would have never explored. It was truly a wonderful opportunity to see something that many people never see in their lives. Backroads travel really does take you off the beaten path of life.

One of the best things I enjoyed about this trip was that there were many route options each day and that you could go at your own pace and "customize" your ride. I heard other similar companies don't offer this flexibility and for me this helped make this trip amazing.
Jennifer Hutchinson- Grosse Pointe, MI

I have to admit, I'm addicted. This was my third trip and they just keep getting better (perhaps as my cycling ability improves). I thought my trip leaders on the first trip were unique, but they were not - Backroads seems to have an exceptional ability to recruit and train the best people who are perfectly suited as trip leaders (which requires a complex and well-rounded set of skills). I'm thoroughly impressed and am already thinking of my next trip as soon as I can!

It was a totally amazing experience, from the physical challenges (and constant encouragement), the beauty of the location, the Backroads crew and the other guests, it just rocked! I can't say enough good things.

Backroads supplies amazing vacations, a truly admirable company clearly devoted to surfacing and training their trip leaders to work with the trip development team and support staff seamlessly and effectively. SO WELL DONE!!!

Every facet of the trip was first-class! I arrived home with that feeling of satisfaction and rejuvenation that only the best vacation experiences can yield. Thank you, Backroads! My husband and I enjoyed every single nanosecond - truly, we did!

The trip was everything I thought it would be. The leaders were exceptional. I cannot think of one thing that could or should have been done better by either of them. They were friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and just fun to be with and Furnace Creek Inn was such an interesting place to stay.

So fab! Fell in love with Death Valley, Furnace Inn, our guides, the food, and of course the cycling!
Kimberly Chapman- Twinsburg, OH

Death Valley is an underappreciated place. It's amazing! The ride along Artist's Palette, the last optional ride is among the most beautiful and really should be something everyone gets to see.
Tom Matlack- Brookline, MA

Death Valley is gorgeous, and the rides are a blast!
Joseph Monahan- Glencoe, IL

I had a fabulous time!! I was able to ride at my own pace and enjoy the amazing scenery. The hike to Zabriskie Point was a highlight and the swimming pool at the hotel was delightful.
Ann Schmidt- Grosse Pointe, MI

I was impressed by the easygoing manner of the leaders and how helpful and in tune they were... They really created a fun and laid-back atmosphere that made this short vacation feel much longer! We were joking on the van ride back to Caesar's Palace that "momĀ and dad" are dropping us off; us adults felt like kids for four days because every detail was taken care of for us!
Karen Sherman- Newton Center, MA

This was a well-planned and well-executed trip... It was our first time in Death Valley. We just loved it. Furnace Creek Inn was such a nice comfortable place. The food was great too.
