Biking & Hiking in California's Mojave Desert

Death Valley National Park is a place of surprising natural beauty and intriguing topographic extremes, where majestic scale humbles the senses. There's no better way than biking and hiking with Backroads to experience the rich palette, surreal geography and many moods of this park in southeastern California's Mojave Desert. Sculpted rocks peer from behind enormous sand dunes. Brilliantly colored mountains frame narrow canyons. Volcanic craters and ancient salt beds abound, while each evening, the sun creeps over rose-hued peaks in a desert-sunset display like no other.

Guest Trip Reviews

I found Death Valley to be more beautiful than I ever imagined. I appreciated all the options for distances of the biking and hiking routes. The views from both the biking and hiking expeditions were spectacular!
