Day 1
Dazzling views of the Bow Valley and Cascade Mountain unfold as you bike along the scenic Legacy Trail in Banff National Park to the postcard-perfect town of Banff • Pedal to Lake Minnewanka, known to Stoney Nakoda First Nations people as Minn-waki, or Lake of the Spirits • Treat yourself at our hotel's renowned spa.

Day 3
Watch for mule deer and coyotes as you begin a steady ascent toward Bow Lake and the Crowfoot Glacier • Witness one of the most iconic views in the Canadian Rockies on the ride to Bow Summit—the highest point on the Icefields Parkway • In Jasper National Park, board a massive all-terrain vehicle to explore the Athabasca Glacier.

Days 4-6

Our exploration of the Canadian Rockies includes time riding on the famed Icefields Parkway. While the scenery is stunning, sections of the pavement can be rough, and repaving is ongoing. The parkway’s shoulder is wide, but the area is busy so you should be comfortable riding with traffic. Of course, you’re always welcome to jump in the shuttle to avoid more trafficked sections.
Post Hotel & Spa and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge are Premiere Hotels. While they offer outstanding service and amenities, please note that they’re not equipped with air-conditioning and guest rooms can occasionally become warm during peak temperatures.

Canadian Rockies
This trip is MAGICAL! Backroads Leaders are the best in the industry from my experiences. They are supportive, enthusiastic and responsive. The accommodations and food/beverage reach far beyond expectations. The Canadian Rockies are majestic and the views are uncompromising in their ability to be breathtaking. You will make memories of a lifetime!
Trip of a Lifetime!
This trip was outstanding. The scenery was stunning, the routes were fantastic, and the leaders were hard working, knowledgeable and friendly. We saw wildlife almost every day! Also, the hotels were as high level as it gets I think. I wouldn't want more. Loved that we had flexiblity to skip a ride one day and go canoeing on a beautiful lake at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. We've never used Backroads before this. We probably will never use any other company after this!
First Time Experience - Far Exceeds Our Expectations
Overall, we had an experience we could not have foreseen. We went farther on our bikes than we thought we could. There is a level of riding for everyone to enjoy. We had top notch guides that were knowledgeable about the routes and area we were visiting. They were fun, helpful and always had a positive attitude. The accommodations were lovely and very comfortable. I had a good nights sleep each night. The food provided on the rides was delicious and plentiful. There was always more than enough. I seriously can't wait to book my next ride.

Cycling Banff to Jasper
This was our 4th Backroads trip and it lived up to our expectations. Fabulous scenery, knowledgable, friendly leaders, and wonderful food and hotels. The hard part is deciding where to go next!!!
Trip of a lifetime!
The most amazing trip with phenomenal leaders. The Canadian Rockies are spectacular. Combine that with amazing adventures and wonderful leaders, the trip could not have been better.
Stunning scenery and outstanding accommodations for the trip
A challenging alpine cycling adventure through the gorgeous Canadian Rockies! We very much enjoyed our trip even though we had a couple of rainy rides, great team leaders, bikes and support team. We very much would encourage people to experience this trip!

I can't say enough about our trip leaders and support team! They made every aspect of the trip fun and comfortable. Noah and Tarryn were so knowledgeable and helpful with the area and any challenges. The whole team was fun, lively, creative and enthusiastic and responded with grace and ease to weather related changes. They were all amazing! I LOVED the Route Wraps!!! I also loved the excursions to Lake Louise and the Glacier and the Skyview! Great additions to the biking!!
Spectacular!
Wow, what an amazing trip! Jaw-dropping scenery, amazing hotels, challenging rides, great food, and so much wildlife! The Canadian Rockies are truly majestic, and that's coming from someone who lives in Colorado. Everything was so clean and well-kept - even the roads were pristine. We saw bears, elk, deer, goats, and eagles...most either on or right next to the road! And our Trip Leaders and support team were simply amazing. Do not hesitate to book this trip - you will not regret it!
