Dive into ancient history as we visit the enigmatic Maya ruins at Chichén Itzá. Stroll through beautifully preserved towns and discover picture-perfect vestiges of the colonial past. Explore one of Mexico’s largest cave systems with a local guide and bike to ancient cenotes for a refreshing dip. Days 1-2 Temozon

Meet in Mérida  Stretch your legs on a walking tour of our hacienda’s historic 17th-century property before enjoying a lunch of regional cuisine Pedal to a nearby cenote, where we have the crystal waters all to ourselves  Explore the expansive caves of Calcehtok Pedal to the rarely visited ruins of Oxkintok Wind through the backstreets of Maxcanu for a unique look into Mayan life.

Day 3 Chichen Itza

Ride along quiet back roads to Hacienda Sotuta de Peon, a restored 19th-century henequen farm As evening falls, walk to the impressive Maya site Chichén Itzá, the center of religious, political and military power in the Yucatán during its zenith from A.D. 800-1200.

Days 4-6 Riviera Maya

With our local guide, explore the carefully restored Castillo pyramid, giant ball court and temples of Chichén Itzá, displaying a mix of Maya and Toltec styles  Bike the wide jungle paths of Cobá and climb its pyramids for a 360º view  Playa del Carmen beckons for an evening out on the town  Sea kayak and snorkel with tropical fish in a secluded bay  Bask on an unspoiled beach, relax poolside or indulge in a massage at our hotel’s world-class spa After an optional beach hike, gather for breakfast overlooking the turquoise Caribbean.
