Canadian Rockies Multisport

We've found the perfect way to explore two of the Canadian Rockies' most famed destinations, Banff and Jasper National Parks - by bike and on foot, and in the company of Trip Leaders who are certified Mountain Parks Heritage Interpreters and know the region intimately. In this awe-inspiring rugged landscape, spin past glaciers inching their way down the faces of mighty peaks, hike to lakes in crayon-box hues of deepest blue and emerald green, enjoy abundant wildlife sightings - moose, elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goats - and unleash your spirit in miles and miles of untrammeled wilderness that expands your sense of space.

Guest Trip Reviews

This trip was seriously one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! Everything was absolutely amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better time (except that I wish I was still there!!)
Jacob Pollack - New York, NY

This was tied for the top two best vacations ever. The only reason the other one was up there is I had 16 friends with me and it was like The Big Chill.
Lori Spero - Palatine, IL

This was the best trip that our family has ever been on! The scenery was beautiful and the weather was perfect but our leaders made the trip unforgettable. The five people that worked on our trip were exceptional and are a credit and assets to your company. We will definitely look into another Backroads vacation because our experience went beyond our expectations. All of the leaders and the camp assistant (were great with the adults and even more so with the children on the trip. They worked remarkably well together especially since this was the first trip that all five worked on together. We are just thrilled with our experience and were very sad when the trip came to an end.
Carol Regan - Atkinson, NH

What an outstanding experience. I am a "fiercely independent," very experienced world traveler who would normally avoid a "group tour." This Backroads trip was such an unexpected pleasure. One of my best travel experiences ever. Beyond the extraordinary scenery of the Canadian Rockies, the great food and challenging physical activities, the Trip Leaders made the experience what it was for me. Thank you all for such a memorable week.
Tom Roth - San Francisco, CA

This being my first Backroads trip I find it hard to bel ie ve how well they do what they do. The trip leaders were the best hosts you could have. They were kind, caring and it was like being on vacation with mom and dad as a child. EVERYTHING was taken care of. All I needed to do was to relax and play. The culinary magic that they preformed over a campfire was unbelievable (how do I get the a cook book of recipes?). Finally, the people who were on the trip could not be nicer, by the end of the trip it was hard to say goodbye. I am already looking forward to next year ' s trip! Backroads thank you for the best vacation I have had in years.
Roland Galli - Novato, CA

I had a phenomenal time on this trip. I loved every minute of it. I had high expectations of the Backroads trip from talking to previous Backroads travelers and this trip met or exceeded those expectations. The trip leaders did an unbelievable job taking care of everything and such sweethearts and great people.
Scott Testa - West New York, NJ

The multisport trip to the Canadian Rockies was outstanding. It was everything that I had hoped for and more. The views were spectacular, and I really enjoyed the itinerary. I thought the amount of activity was perfect. Our days were filled and extremely enjoyable. Once again, your leaders are exceptional.
Barbara Rains - Cedar Knolls, NJ

We have completed 15 biking trips. This was our 1st family camping trip which was a gift to our daughter, son-in-law and 3 grandchildren 13,10 and 6. I had not camped since Yosemite in 1960. What a joy! I cherished every aspect of the trip. The leaders were outstanding and we will be back. Maybe not another camping trip but certainly for our 16th bike trip. You run a tight ship and employ terrific staff. The food was excellent and I now know that you can bake in pots on charcoal. The Canadian Rockies are visually splendid and fascinating to learn about.
Judy Haveson - New York, NY

I was with Backroads in Alaska in 2007. I found this company to be the most awesome tour company I have ever been with. You can be sure I will be back again and again with Backroads.
