Hilltop panoramas of labyrinthine channels and rugged sandstone outcrops glimmering in the sun. The most delicious smoked salmon you've ever tasted. And while boutique wineries, art galleries and farm-to-table eateries are also part of the daily scene, you won't have to hike, pedal or paddle far to imagine you've landed in a secret place. Where it's just you and the black-tailed deer, under the radar with space to spare.
