Each moment, sunlight alters the vermilion palette of the landscape, continually repainting the mountaintops and rocky canyon mazes. Such epic scenery is made all the more special when shared with new friends! Venture into the geologic labyrinth of Bryce Canyon. Gaze in awe at the Grand Canyon's immensity and descend into its depths on an exhilarating hike. In Zion, spin on vibrant red roads and walk beneath soaring rock faces. Come evening, kick back at campsites perched on canyon rims and under the cool canopy of towering pines. "Fantastic" doesn't begin to describe how you feel.

Days 1-2 Lose yourself in Bryce Canyon's maze of otherworldly rock formations Hike in Queen's Garden, where strangely shaped monoliths stand at attention beneath the watchful gaze of Queen Victoria hoodoo You'll feel at times as if you're walking through a petrified forest - or even on another planet Get your blood pumping on the hilly biking route to Rainbow Point  En route to Arizona, point your wheels downhill and ride the peaceful Red Canyon bike path Nothing compares to that first view of the spectacular Grand Canyon, one of the world's seven natural wonders  S'mores anyone? Guests Reviews About This Trip

Had one of the BEST vacations of my life! Saw amazing sites, did amazing things. The physical aspects of the trip pushed me just enough. I did things I never thought I could, like climb to the top of Angel's Landing in Zion National Park. The guides were tremendous - very helpful, great preparation, evaluated everyone well. It was hard to come home. Thanks for a great getaway!

It’s Not All About the Bike or
the Boot

Make sure you know a company’s general orientation toward travel. For many, it’s ALL about the bike or the boot. They’re happy to send you off alone on your bike or point you to where the trail starts. This is fine if ALL you want is a good bike ride or hard hike and you desire to be surrounded by other like-minded folks. But few of these companies focus on integrating the activity with the culture to get you below the surface. We at Backroads like to think of our guests and ourselves as well-rounded individuals who are deeply curious about the world. We’re not interested in providing you with a one-dimensional experience.

"What an awesome trip! Taking in the culture, people, and scenery by bike is such a wonderful way to experience Thailand. The various activities planned throughout the trip, combined with great leaders and support staff made the trip very enjoyable and enriching. Thanks Backroads for some great memories and a great travel experience!"
