Straight Talk

We want to make sure you're on the right trip and that you have the best experience possible. Every Backroads trip is unique and this one is no exception.

Traffic & Terrain

The Lake District's beautiful and rugged topography limits the number of smooth paved roads available. We've carefully crafted this itinerary to feature a mix of the region's most scenic paved and dirt roads for our bike routes. Although we use paved roads whenever possible, you should be comfortable riding a mountain bike on sections of rougher terrain. While Backroads strives to find routes that are quiet and off the beaten track, that's not always possible in Argentina, and some biking options on this trip follow more heavily trafficked roads. Of course, you're always welcome to jump in the shuttle to avoid the busier or rougher sections of the route.
