Straight Talk

We want to make sure you're on the right trip and that you have the best experience possible. Every Backroads trip is unique and this one is no exception.

Traffic on the Blue Ridge Parkway

The majority of cycling on this trip is on roads with very little traffic. But we wouldn't want you to miss the famous Blue Ridge Parkway, which is often more heavily trafficked. We've planned to ride the Parkway on quieter week days, but it's important to be comfortable sharing the road with cars or taking a lift in the shuttle.

Guest Reviews About This Trip

The sights and sounds of the Carolinas are best experienced and explored actively - pedaling along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, stopping to take in the picturesque vistas and beauty of the area, meandering along the pathways of the Biltmore Estate, reliving the past (Civil War, Antebellum South and Gilded Age), or being inspired by the local arts scene extending from Asheville to Greenville. This trip offers the perfect combination of stellar biking, natural splendor, history and southern hospitality.
