Pedal Through Prehistory

In the Dordogne, history begins with prehistory. Here, 17,000-year-old cave paintings remind you that you’re in a region considered by some anthropologists the "cradle of humankind." The ruins of clifftop castles transport you to the Middle Ages, and crumbling fortresses stand as testament to the bloodshed of the Hundred Years’ War. Embark on a cultural exploration that leads up and over forested hills, along gentle stretches of river and welcomes us with cozy accommodations and tasty local cuisine.
