Steeped in spirituality and colorful mythology, Bali offers a tranquil and secure world of sensory delights for active travelers. Bike among emerald-green rice terraces, past peaceful villages and around sacred pools fed by high mountain streams. Hike trails to artist communities, stroll along palm-studded beaches, snorkel with technicolor fish and raft past hidden waterfalls. And not to be missed: the art of relaxation at our tropical retreats, renowned for their health spas, divine swimming pools and gourmet cuisine.

Days 1-3 ubud

Gather in Ubud, Bali's cultural heart, and meet our Balinese friend and guide Wayan Narta, who joins us on our adventures, starting with a stroll through rice paddies and villages  Enjoy an easygoing bike ride past rice terraces and small villages Visit a renowned mask carver in Mas Explore a secluded forest temple, where gray monkeys make their home Raft down the Ayung River through the jungle, keeping an eye out for bright kingfishers and giant teak trees.

Days 4-5 lovina beach

Shuttle to Lake Bratan, set within the crater of the inactive Gunung Batur volcano Pay homage to the water goddess Dewi Danu at the Ulun Danu temple Pedal the exhilarating descent from the mountains to the beach Relax in one of our resort's bale bengong (open-air napping platforms) overlooking the sea Take a sunrise boat cruise along the remote north coast before hiking to secluded villages for a glimpse into Balinese rural life.

Day 6 Tembok

Pedal along Bali's arid northeast coast, passing lava flows from Mount Agung's 1963 eruption Delight in a delicious seaside dinner

Days 7-9 Manggis

Visit Tenganan, known for its beautiful double-ikat textiles Prepare classic mie goring in a private cooking class Snorkel in the Blue Lagoon, a placid red-coral bay reached by fishing outrigger.
