Customize your titanium bike:

All Backroads titanium bikes feature a sturdy stable bike frame; ergonomic saddle to reduce soreness; specially selected, smooth–riding road tires; a carbon–fiber fork to help reduce road vibration; and a triple chainring crankset with 27 easy–to–shift gears. We also have titanium mountain bikes with front suspension forks and seat posts for more comfortable riding on trips where our routes include dirt and rougher paved roads.
Backroads is the only travel company to manufacture its own line of children’s bicycles. While the wheels might be small, the performance is big and the safety superb. On all Backroads Family Trips, you’ll find 20” and 24” bicycles for children. They say that good things come in small packages—and when it comes to bikes for kids of all ages, Backroads is the expert.
For children 60 pounds and under, this sturdy carrier easily attaches to our bikes.
Burley d'Lite
Designed for children ages 4-10 or up to 85 pounds, the Burley Piccolo is an innovative attachment equipped with a six-speed twist-shifter that turns an adult bike into a tandem with your child providing some of the pedal power.

All bikes are equipped with a rear rack, safety triangle, two water bottle cages, two Backroads water bottles, combination lock, hand pump, inner tube, tire levers and patch kit for use on your trip.
For your protection and that of your children, bicycle helmets are required on all Backroads biking and multisport trips. You can bring your own or use one of our quality helmets, equipped with easy-adjusting retention systems. Three sizes are available for adults and two for children.
On the rare occasion when Backroads bicycles are not available for a particular trip, models of comparable quality will be offered.
